to space or not to space

It appears that ifgate insists that a space is present between the
"TO:" and the valid internet address in a fido => internet gated
message. I notice that other gating software uses a more relaxed
method accepting the line as valid regardless if there is a space or
if there isn't. An example..
ifgate insists on this...
TO: user@machine.dom
other software accepts either
TO: user@machine.dom =or=
TO:user@machine.dom
Would it be possible, Eugene, to modify ifgate's behavior in this regard?
