ifcico doesn't make the calls

I now have a problem with ifcico which is this:
Ifcico refuses to make the call to my boss (or any node for that matter.)
When I start ifcico (with 'ifcico -r1 f536.n204.z2') the only thing that
happens is that my modem's terminal ready light goes on for a while and
after a short while I get a timeout error. I now use version 2.8f. I
downloaded 2.12 but that version didn't even find the nodelist and
thereby no telephone numbers. 2.8f do find the numbers but the output when
I set the debugging flag shows the same as 2.12 does, i e

getadnl: /usr/local/etc/ifconfig(9): nodelist /root/fnet/nodelist/
addalist: /usr/local/etc/ifconfig(9): (null) /root/fnet/nodelist/

I recently suffered from a hard disk crash and before that everything
worked fine. I have reloded the configuration files I had before the
crash from tape, so everything is the way it was when it all worked.

Confusing? At least to me it is...

This is the output I get to my messages-file:
