You need to setup a news processing program. I recommend INN-1.5.1
for the job. It contains the latest security patches, PGP support and
various
other enhancements. As for reading the echos locally, get a copy of
TIN-1.3. and for netmail processing you need to setup sendmail to
rewrite the mail headers, so ifmail can process them accordingly. Look
for an ifmail-tx archive, in it are lots of examples on how to do this.
