Because netware file system, like ms/dos file system, operates in a way
different from any unix file system. Its specifications for file locking,
behavior when you try to delete an open file, and maybe other minor
detailes are different. You cannot have ifmail spool on a on-unix
filesystem, though you can export ifmail spool from unix and make it
available for ms/dos machines.
